BRIDGING OUR DIFFERENCES: Communicating well with people who hold differing views
Through this series of 3 online circles, Shamila will guide you through 3 inspirational and practical processes drawn from The Joyality Toolkit that provide skills, passion and insight needed to communicate and find shared values with people who hold differing views.
We are living in challenging and exciting times. Things are shifting in big ways and it can be unsettling, disorienting, and overwhelming. Amidst the great upheaval and unravelling there is deep and expansive potential to co-create a world that is truly just and regenerative for everyone.
To meet this call, we require people who are willing and able to communicate and co-operate with a diverse range of people. This can take courage, commitment and willingness to learn skills in effective communication.
Open and interested dialogue can make the impossible probable and propel us towards our individual and collective potential.
This is a process of remembering what we are capable of and connected to (hint: everything!) and how to use this in service of co-creating the world our hearts know is possible.
Through this mini-course you will be guided through a journey of exploring how to communicate and connect with those who may seem to hold vastly differing views from you. Empowering you with tools to clarify your values honour diversity as well as unity in our views.
You'll learn to:
Draw inspiration from ancient wisdom teachings to fortify you in your courageous conversations
Envision and practise building connection through considered conversations that seek shared values
Use practical tips for communication to clarify and speak clearly about your values and views
